Compare With Your EDF Bill

Upload a half-hourly consumption CSV exported from n3rgy (or your smart meter portal), tell us your bill's start and end dates, and see what that usage would have cost you on EDF FreePhase โ€” check it against your real bill. On Agile or another tariff? Upload your usage anyway and see what FreePhase would have cost you on the same electricity.

What is n3rgy?

n3rgy is a free service that gives you access to the half-hourly consumption data your smart meter already sends off โ€” the same data your supplier bills you from โ€” regardless of who your supplier is. It's run by a company called n3rgy data (part of Smart Metering Systems), not by EDF or FPRates.

To get your CSV: sign up or log in at n3rgy's consumer portal using your smart meter details, then download your data. Important: ask for at least one extra day either side of your bill's start and end dates (e.g. if your bill runs 28 June to 27 July, download from 27 June to 28 July). Because n3rgy's timestamps are in UTC and your bill is in UK local time, that extra padding is needed so no hours get missed at either end โ€” we handle lining everything up correctly from there, you just need the wider file.

These should match the dates shown on your EDF bill.
Remember: a day either side of your bill dates, as explained above.

Your file is used only to calculate the total shown on the next page โ€” it isn't stored.

FPRates is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to EDF Energy in any way. EDF and FreePhase are trademarks of EDF Energy.
